This sound piece title July 22 refers to the date July 22, 2020 which was the first Gbadebo visited True Blue Planation and when her exploration with using the physical earth began. July 22 is also the birthdate of the artist’s late mother and the date almost 200 years prior in which Richard Singleton, the original Planation owner, wrote his will which described the passing down of True Blue Planation and humans.
